Follow the aftercare instructions to extend the lifespan of your Hair Extension. 

Shampoo:

Use sulphate free or moisture shampoo, conditioner and treatment.Do not shampoo upside down.Shampoo underneath tapes.Do not apply conditioner to tapes, they could slip or loosen.

Drying / Blow-waving / Curling:

Always use a heat protector.Do not use heat that exceeds 180 degrees.Do not over-iron hair.Do not iron hair when wet.Do not iron the tapes itself.

Brushing:

Only use hair extension brush, or hair detangle brush (NEVER a comb).Brush gently and do not pull hair.Pulling of hair could damage your hair.Try to avoid brushing wet hair, tapes could slip.

Sleeping:

Never sleep with wet hair, make sure extensions are dry from tape to tip.Tie hair in a bun or plate.Use a silk pillowcase to protect from damage.Never sleep with loose hair, your own hair could knot with tapes.

Colouring and Cutting:

Try to avoid colouring.Bleaching will damage the extensions.When colouring try to go darker and not lighter.Make sure colouring is done by a professional hair stylist and that the product used is ammoniac free.Cutting needs to be done by a professional hair stylist.Do not use razors, use professional thinning scissors or scissors.Silver colour ectensions are toned, so will turn yellowish with your own hair if not treated with a anti-yellow/purple/silver shampoo and conditioner.Do not colour the tapes.

Swimming, Salt & Chlorine:

Salt and chloride are damaging the extensions just like your natural hair so take extra good care of it.Solution - use a UV heat protector and lots of conditioner.Do not tie wet hair, rather let hair dry naturally.

Removing of tapes / Re-taping:

Remove after 6-8 weeks.Use a bond remover.Never use alcohol to remove tapes.ASK a professional to remove tapes.Make sure the sticky parts are removed before applying new tapes.Make sure the tapes are dry and clean before applying new tapes.When tapes are inserted it needs to be ironed for two seconds each.If tapes are not installed correctly it could damage your own hair.

Why are my tapes feeling sticky?

If all the above mentioned steps regarding installation and care are not followed correctly that could be the reason, so make sure that ALL care and installation steps are followed as indicate.
